sounds like you need to start planning a vacation !

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I remember working the night shift and coming home.  My baby sitter was a lovely retired school teacher and she spent the nights with the kids.  I'd send them to school, get comfortable, fall asleep, and then the phone would start ringing. Because I was at home, people thought I should be available for stuff.  What I finally did was started calling my friends at 1 or 2 in the morning to ask them to do things for me.  LOL.  That put a stop to the intruding upon  my sleep time.  It wasn't like I had all day and all eveing, my kids got out of school at 3 and I had to be there to pick them up.

carla...shih tzu's are the best little dogs!!! so full of love and they like to play alot but tire easy...but with the humidity and heat in florida...you would need to be extra careful so they wouldn't over heat. any dog with a short snout would overheat fast if not careful. but a shih tzu i would recommend to anyone!!!

wish the thrift shops here were cheaper!! for a thrift store they sure aren't thrifty in their prices!!! what they charge there i can get new at a regular store!!!

have fun....

My daughter came to get the kids yesterday afternoon.  I don't even think they were out of my driveway before I was sighing a breath of relief. LOL.  I love them, miss them when they are not here, but they do wear me out.  So, last night, I took one long and hot bath and spent the rest of the evening leaving my cup of hot tea on the coffee table because there were no little hands about to get burned.  It amazes me the freedoms that are taken away when the kids come.  LOL  Like, privacy in the bathroom, drinking an beverage unmolested, eating any food unmolested, sitting with a book in my hand and reading, watching anything that doesn't have a turtle or three little flying rodents in it....well, you get my drift.  Yeah.

Today, I will clean house.  There are toys in every single room and a giant box that we made a play house out of and it needs to go back to the garage.  I also need to empty the plastic pool and put it in the shed and pick up the yard toys.  Sometime today, I will ride my bike.  My husband hates for me to ride because he is terrified that I am going to fall of it.  He doesn't have much faith in my riding ability.  I wish he would ride with me, but I know he doesn't feel well.

Margo, I'm with you on those terrible decsions that George's dil is going to be making.  There is no way at that age could I have made the final decision on heroics for anyone.

Hope you all have a good day.

I so know how you feel.  I love them, love to have them and am so relieved when they go home.

Good Morning Julia and all,

Wish I was on the West side of the state so I could visit with you, Julia.
Tom is headed over that way for a 2 day job interview....everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Yesterday was a better food day....following the basic rules, like protein first, does make it easier to eat the way I am supposed to, no?

It was a very tough day at work yesterday, the day started out with so much work, I began my workday feeling overwhelmed. Then as the day turned to afternoon, we found out that one of our sweet long time residents who was taken to the hospital yesterday morning, passed away...
She was only 49 and just a sweetie. Staff were stunned and we all had tears and just couldn't believe she was gone. In our place of work, death is not a stranger, and we do grieve when our residents pass but yesterday was just a  day we don't have so often...while we knew she was so sick, COPD, we knew she was a fighter and thought she'd be back like she usually was...
I don't know when I will learn that people can be gone...and you don't get another chance to visit and give them some of your time...
I am so busy at work all I could think of was the last time I hurried by her, knowing she wanted to visit with me...
She will be missed...

Almost time to get my patootie upstairs and on the treadmill.
Take Care all,
Cheryl

Nothing new with me today, just catching up on work stuff.
Will go for a walk early on break/lunch since it is getting hot today all ready and I enjoy my walks!

Did some thrift shopping at the Discovery shop, it's a high end resale clothes and all the money goes to the American Cancer Society and I get to put that on my tax deductions.
Got 8 tops, 2 PJ's (never been worn, tags still on them) a beautiful multi-colored broom shirt that is so light (feels like I'm neeked!! LOL) All for the price of 48.00.
All my tops are way to big so I really did need to get more.

Have a blessed day everyone. Stay cool. Remember to exercise and take your vitamins!
